Frequently asked questions
What languages does Ingenium IP translate to?
The platform currently focuses on patent-quality Spanish translations, with the source language detected automatically from the uploaded document.
Can I translate multiple documents at once?
Each document is processed as a separate job. You can upload and queue multiple documents; jobs run concurrently based on your plan's monthly document limit.
What happens when my trial ends?
After 7 days, your trial expires and you'll need a paid subscription to process new documents. Your existing translated documents remain accessible in your account.
Can I upgrade my plan at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade via the Billing Portal in your account settings. Changes take effect immediately and are prorated for the remainder of the billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are non-refundable, including for unused time in the current billing period. Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals but does not refund the current period, and deleting your account does not refund past payments either.
Is my data secure?
Documents are stored in Google Cloud Storage with per-user access controls. JWT authentication is required for all API calls. MFA (TOTP) can be enabled in your account settings.
What is a 'character' for billing purposes?
Characters are counted on the longer of the source and translated text. A typical patent description page is approximately 2,000–3,000 characters. The Basic plan's 100,000 character limit covers roughly 30–50 pages of dense text.
